Custom printer profiling - fix your colour management issues with a profile from Pure Profiles

7. Printing The Charts

When you're ready to print the charts, you will need to set up both your printing software and printer driver so that no colour management or automatic colour "tweaks" are applied. This is a very important step, so we have created some step-by-step guides for software that we know is compatible with the profiling process.

Please note that in most cases we would recommend using the Adobe Colour Printer Utility for printing the charts - this simplifies the process and makes sure that the charts are printed correctly. However, for those who have problems with this utility (it is not compatible with Mac OS 10.5), or for those who prefer just to use their usual printing software, please download the relevant guide from the list below :

Step-by-step Guides

A PDF format guide which contains step-by-step details on how to print the profiling charts, and how to use the finished profile. In most cases, we recommend using the ACPU utility for printing the charts. The ACPU guide covers using the profile with CS5, Elements 8 and Lightroom 3.
